Pros: Easy to instal on XP, works great with Cambridge 5.1 Speakers
Cons: EAX doesn't seem to make much difference, and not very practical
The Bottom Line: Good Price, nice sound, a bit heavy on pushing the other Creative products, by not allowing interface with other brands.

| pubjumper's Full Review: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Sound Card |
Being big into matching components, I choose the Soundblaster, because I already had the Cambridge speakers. The card itself was easy to install, and the software zipped right through. I have not been able to turn off the option to have it auto detect a nomad, which is annoying, since I have a different brand of MP3 player. The software works very good, but you are not able to burn CD's from it, which makes it necissary to use windows or an outside program. With out this ability, it is pretty useless for playlists and the like. The autodetect feature works well, and will detect and alert you if there are broken links. YOu don't have to search through for the new files as they are added, it will automatically skip over the ones already in the list. Overall, this is a pretty good digital sound card for $70.00, especially with the features, and 5.1 audio.
