I first found out about the Magazine Mall website magmall.com not as a shopper but as a receiver.
On my husband's side, all adult family members give magazine subscriptions as part of the birthday gifts. This means everyone from Great Grandma down to the youngest child will get 5 magazine subscriptions each birthday!
Now you can all imagine what MY mailbox looks like with SEVEN of us getting FIVE magazines as gifts! That's right, THIRTY FIVE magazines!!! Actually some of them only come every other month, but you get the idea!
Since we also need to buy some ~ for the other family members, I am always on the look out for a cheap and easy to use magazine ordering site! My sister in law uses the Magazine Mall and suggested I give it a try too.
WHAT THE SITE IS
Quite simply, magmall.com is a site to start a magazine subscription and/or to renew one.
They have thousands of magazines to choose from and they offer a 100% guarantee.
One nice thing is that you can send gifts to others at different addresses. They then get a gift card along with the personal message you wrote when placing the order.
FINDING WHAT YOUR WAY AROUND THE SITE
The site is has eight categories as well as search options.
Each of the eight categories ~
Cars and Bikes, Entertainment, Fashion, Investing, Kids, Men's, Sports and Technology has links to eight different magazines and as well as a link to MORE of that type.
Using the search options are the easiest way to locate a magazine.
There are actually four different ways to do a search ~ by category, magazine name, price or you can look through the alphabet
MY EXPERIENCE
Actually, this is my Grandma's and mine (awwww) experience. You see, she doesn't have a computer and wanted to buy a CAT magazine for her best friend's 85th birthday (another awww)
Since she knew the name of the magazine was Cat something we used the search option and went to the category animals.
This brought up 25 choices. She was thinking it was Cat Fancy that Mabel liked so I clicked on that one. There was a magazine with a cat on the cover and the description sounded like something she'd like so that was good enough for us! I clicked on the add to cart button.
After it was added to the cart we were brought back to the Cat Fancy description page I had just been on.
NOTE: Before we went any farther we checked with 4 other sites, 1 had it for the same price and the other 3 didn't even have it. I also had my friend who was shopping at the book store grab a copy off the shelf and check what it would cost to order it that way ~$10 more!! Remember to ALWAYS check multiple online sites BEFORE you buy in order to get the BEST possible price!
Since she didn't need any more magazines we went to check out.
This brought us to a secure site where they ask if you are a returning customer or not. If you are, you just put in your email and name but we had to fill in all of the normal information.
Now here was a nice touch ~ for people who don't have a credit card or for people who are not too sure about giving credit card number on the internet you can pay by check! You just choose the bill me option and you will be billed and can then send in a check for payment.
After filling everything out, you review your order and write a message for the gift card. My Grandma liked that part and found it cleaver she's so cute!!
An email confirmation is sent out to the buyer and the gift card is sent snail mail to the recipient.
ONE THING I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THE SITE
** In the description of the magazine, it states 4 FREE gifts but these are NOT FREE gifts! These are the same old offers we all get in our mailbox offering us FREE software which actually cost $5.95 shipping along with other FREE items (calling cards, videos) that require a credit card and/or signup where you WILL be billed after the trail time period.

I would recommend them especially because of the large amount of magazines and their money back guarantee and a good choice for Mypoints members.
I will stress though that you should check the magazine itself (for one of those annoying drop out cards) and other online sites BEFORE ordering from ANY WHERE ~ just to assure you are getting the best deal!
