auto loan check no good

Pros: finds banks for auto loans

Cons: no dealer will take there 'checks'

The Bottom Line: why bother if the car dealers won't take the loan paperwork?

i recently searched for auto loans on lendingtree and found 3 good rates and got a 'check' in the mail from the best company. the paperwork said bring the check to the dealer, put the VIN # on the check and i've got a loan.

the car dealer (a big toyota dealer in chicago) laughed and said 'we do not take those'. it takes them at least 30 days to get the money and they can't deal with that kind of banking and float on the cash.

they gave found me a loan at the same rate and i torn up the check. the dealer says they get presented these 'checks' all the time and can't accept them.
