And before you pull out your credit card and pay for this service from another site – head on over to PinStuck.com and get instant gratification for free. Yes, you heard that right – free. Some sites charge you upwards of $20.00 for a simple spell or small voodoo doll – before you go all crazy and start cackling over a cauldron to settle the score – check out PinStruck first. The neighborhood cats will thank you.
I received my first cyber voodoo curse over a year ago and was a little perplexed as to who sent it to me. Since this service is anonymous you really won’t know who it is that struck you but don’t get too upset – it’s only a website you know. Since that initial curse I’ve sent these out to a lot of people – some of them deserved a little more than a cyber curse and others were sent as ongoing inside jokes between friends. It might be easy for some people to go to the site and go a little crazy sending out curses – but resist the urge to abuse the system or you might just find yourself with more bad karma than you can handle.
The Curse
When you have received a curse you will get an email from cursed@pinstuck.com with the words “[your name], someone has sent you a voodoo message”. Upon opening the email you will see a small disclaimer making you aware of the link that is located below. Clicking on the link will take you to an unopened wicker coffin with a small wrinkled note that reads: “click to open”. Depending on the modifications that have been made to the voodoo doll – you might see a male or a female, with or without glasses, facial hair and the persons name attached to the doll. Once you have checked out the doll make sure you look at the bottom of the page to send a revenge curse to someone. You won’t be able to send it back to the person that sent it to you – but passing along a curse does make you feel a little bit better.
Sending a curse takes about 30 seconds and only requires you to fill in the recipients email address, physical characteristics and your choice of a note. After that all you have to do is sit back and wait for the fun to happen. The block code at the bottom of the email can be used to stop receiving emails from site but if you are receiving a ton of emails from someone abusing the site - please contact them so they can add your email address to the clock list of the site. This will make you ineligible to receive mailings from the site so make sure that you can’t to have them ban your name forever.
Victim Feedback
It seems that some people just can’t take a joke – or maybe their conscious is kicking them for something they did to someone. One of the more entertaining portions of the site is the Victim Feedback area that allows people who have been cursed to leave a message, ask a question or just simply vent. I check out this portion of the site a couple times a month when I need a really good laugh. You can opt to leave your own message in the gallery if you wish or just read through the different pages of messages. Voodoo Gear
PinStruck.com has a very small store at the present moment but they are adding new items in the near future. If you hurry up you can get over there and vote on which items will be added to the store. At present there’s only one t-shirt design in the store. The extremely attractive black t-shirt features the PinStruck name on the front and the ultra cool smiling voodoo doll on the back. For $15.00 you can own one of these bad boys and be the envy of everyone in your neighborhood. Of course, if you’ve sent curses out to all your friends and they’ve never been able to figure out who sent them – this might be a dead giveaway. Possible new items include boxer shorts, thong, baby doll t-shirt or slinky dress. Vote now, vote often!
Additionally they have a sort of informal partnership with California Astrology Association where you can purchase good luck dolls, charms, spells, witch doctor kits and several other items. This site has been in business for over 30 years so you won’t get ripped off, scammed or receive stuff that is cheap or falls apart. If you doubt the validity of the site, feel free to contact me ex husband about his nasty recurring headaches!
I’ve ordered about ten shirts from PinStuck, some for myself and others for gifts. They are heavy duty, wash well and the graphics are still in tiptop shape. Some people might balk at paying $15.00 for a t-shirt but I can almost guarantee that no matter where you wear it – people will ask you about it or make some type of comment in regards to the voodoo doll or ask about the website.
Track A Curse
From the website you can also track a curse that was sent out. To do this simply enter the persons email address that the curse was sent to and click the enter button. It will give you the date it was sent as well as whether or not it was received [meaning that the person clicked on the link and viewed the curse]. Of course if you are dealing with a really mean person [a meanie] they may have been sent several cards – if this is the case you will see a listing of curses that have been sent and if they have been picked up or not. Please remember, the only information that will be shown is the date it was sent and if it was picked up – so you won’t be able to see who sent it or the contents of the message.
Stay Ahead of The Others
BY sighing up for the newsletter at the site you can be informed of new sayings added to the voodoo curse list. This will also let you know about new items added to the store and chances to the site. You’ll only get about one email a month from the site and trust me – they never sell your name to any third party.
If you know of someone that has a mobile phone and is always chatting on it – send them a curse and tell them to get the hell off the phone. Check out the site to see the details on how to send a curse to a mobile phone using the WAP portion of the site. I’ve never used the browser on my cellular phone so I’m not sure what the graphics look like – but I would assume that if someone received a curse on their cell phone it might make them think twice about using it on the freeway. There is no charge for using the site, sending a curse or tracking a curse but if you are sending it to a cellular phone there maybe a charge for the person to retrieve the message [if they have to pay an additional fee for internet access from their phone that it].
The Contest

Since this contest page is still listed at the site [even though they say it ends June 1, 2001] I suggest that you contact them to see what the deal is. Maybe if you are a really big pest about it they will correct the date, remove the page or send you some cash for being a pain in the butt. Sorry but if this was a typographical error – that’s cool but fix the thing already! I would like to think that this is a typographical error since I’ve yet to see any of the photos listed at the site nor have I had any photos that I submitted returned to me.
The Bottom Line
I use this site a lot and have never had any trouble creating, sending or tracking a curse. Considering that the site is free to use you might expect it to have some small glitches from time to time – if they have had any trouble with the site I’ve never seen it or heard about it. When you need to relieve a little bit of stress or want to get rid of that black cloud that’s hovering around you – there’s no better way to put the bounce back in your step than to send out a few curses to friends and … well … meanies.
