Pros: The greatest flying simulation ever. Depth is amazing.
Cons: None whatsoever.
The Bottom Line: The best flight simulator ever made. A steep learning curve but it's fun to fool around with once you know what you're doing.

| chris_baehr's Full Review: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Standard for Windo... |
I've been playing Flight Simulator games since version 3. Each new version has brought more planes, more airports, better graphics and sound, etc.
The latest version is simply the best ever. The graphics look photograph like in their accuracy and are stunning. The sounds are first class. The air traffic control is magnificent.
This game is not for everybody though. This game is for those that like to just fool around in a virtual airplane. There are no real objectives or missions to accomplish. You don't shoot other planes down or get into dogfights.
For people that want to learn more about flying this is your game. For people that want to fly around their home town and see the sights, this is your game.
Some of the silly things to do in the game: Try to land a plane on the Nimitz aircraft carrier, or in the SkyDome. Learn how to fly IFR from airport to airport. Fly in nasty miserable weather and see how long you can stay in the air before crashing. Turn on random instrument failures and see how long you can keep the plane in the air. Take the stunt plane out and do loop da loops and other advanced aerial moves. See how long it takes to fly to one of your relatives. There are so many things to do that it's a great game for fooling around in and learning about planes at the same time.
