I bought this unit about 2 weeks ago and it is by far the best
purchase I have made for my digital camera. The unit is smaller
than a toaster and can be easily carried just about anywhere.
You do need to plug it into an outlet, but nevertheless it is
the most portable printer for photos on the market.
At first I was skeptical that a three color ink cartridge could
produce photographic quality prints. After printing over 200 prints
with this unit I would say the quality is as good or better than
units with 3 or 4 different color ink cartridges.
Some reviews mention that the cost of the ink cartridge is high,
not really considering you only need one. One cartridge will last
well over 100 prints and costs about $35.00.
The unit accepts every kind of media made for digital cameras,
memory sticks, smart media cards, sd cards - I have even used
my micro-drive successfully with the unit. I have never hooked
it up to my computer - not really necessary, just download pics
to a memory stick or other media and vavoom your pictures are
ready to print.
Setup is a snap, you hardly need to look at the manual.
When I have friends over I can snap a picture and hand them a
beautiful print in less than two minutes.
The unit has built in frames for your pictures, a number of color
options, cropping and zoom. The printer allows for 4 x 6 pictures
and wallet size pictures.
This printer does exactly what it is supposed to do perfectly,
give you great prints fast, and easily. I recommend it strongly
for those that want a simple solution to photo printing.
