| gbm85's Full Review: Nextel i50sx |
I got this phone soon after my brother got a Nextel phone. It's loaded with features... wireless Internet, vibrating alert, datebook, games, huge-capacity phonebook, voice dial, and more. One especially convenient feature is the ability to set "Vibrate All." If VA is on, every single alert (voicemail, call, direct connect, etc) vibrates instead of ringing. Turn it off, and everything goes back to where it was... no trying to get it "just the way it was." The NOL (Nextel Online, wireless Internet) is great, it has a very up-to-date web browser, and you can receive phone calls while on NOL. The screen is adjustable so the characters can be huge, small, or medium. The customizable faceplates are nice. You can get them cheap from eBay (I got a fake-chrome one for $8). With Nextel becoming more and more popular, there are more and more accessories for there phones. I have a custom faceplate and flashing battery, and there are also flashing keypads for it. This is definitely the best overall Nextel phone I've seen, except for the i90, but I can't really afford that one. You should go with Nextel, and when you do, you should go with the i50sx. (I don't know if the i50 is still made, but the newer version of it, the i55sr, is. If you can't grab an i50, cop a i55 instead.)
