Pros: None as yet. Can't get it hooked up.
Cons: Connectivity. Even to RCA products.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend it for anything "EXCEPT" HDTV

| bigfatman's Full Review: RCA DTC100 DIRECTV System |
Bought a RCA Scenium D52W135D HDTV monitor ($2200). Bought a RCA DTC100 HD DBS receiver ($470). Subscribed to DirecTV (1 yr @$40/mo). Can't get HD broadcasts that are available because the receiver and monitor connections are not compatible. E-mailed RCA 3 different times for a fix and have received no reply. Called RCA/Thomson and was told I would need a transcoder but the young lady that tried to help me could not give me a mfg/model of transcoder I need. HD output on DTC100 is HD-15 female. HD input on D52W135D is DVI-D dual link female or component (Y/Pb/Pr) female. Not one damn thing will cross connect from RCA DTC100 to RCA D52W135D and allow you to watch HDTV. Isn't that sweet?
