Cons: Every aspect of owning this phone was a "con"; cost, customer service, lack of coverage
The Bottom Line: Absolutely under no circumstances should anyone subject themselves to this form of torture. Ever.

| tommy_t's Full Review: Qwest Mobile Phone Service in Minneapolis/St_Paul |
My experience mirrors almost exactly that of the other reviewer. There is not a single aspect of acquiring or using my wireless phone (Nokia 3285) that Qwest did not screw up horribly at some point, from triple-overcharging me for the original cost of the phone, to the absolutely infuriating incompetence of their support staff.
I constantly have trouble running into "dead spots" throughout the twin cities where, for no apparent reason, the phone loses all signal. And they're not even consistent; a dead spot one day might be fine the next, and vice-versa.
The sound quality is rock-bottom terrible, their billing department is apparently populated by rejected specimens from the primate exhibit at the zoo, and the entire voicemail system is worse than none at all. I just counted; in order to check a single voicemail message from my wireless phone, I need to go through exactly eighteen key presses before I finally get to hear my message. Most convenient for today's primate-on-the-go! Fortunately, this is one hassle that I don't have to deal with very often, as roughly 30% of the voice messages left for me apparently vanish into the ether with no warning or notification whatsoever before they reach my ears. The "missed call" functionality works with very similar success rates, also.
In closing, it's been the longest year of my life waiting for the 1-yr service requirement to pass. I have literally been counting the days for the past three months, and next week I'm finally FREE!!!!
