Pros: Beautiful screen, extremely fast, long lasting battery.

The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a high end PDA, this is your best bet.

| hayesfamily's Full Review: Compaq iPAQ H3955 Pocket PC |
The first iPaq I had was the 3850. Under the service plan at Best Buy I was able to get it replaced with this one.
I noticed some huge changes from the upgrade. At first they look exactly the same, but after you turn it on, things begin to change.
The first thing I noticed was that the screen was incredible. Its the same resolution, but its brighter, crisper, darker blacks, and easier to see in sun light.
Next, I witnessed a boot time that was a fraction of the old one. When the unit is reset, or turned on for the first time, It has to boot. Before, the iPaq had to re catalog everything or something, now it restarts in 2-3 seconds. I believe this is not due to the faster processor, but re written software.
The new 400 MHz processor in here does help. I am able to load more programs (running at the same time) and the unit has a almost immediate response time.
I have yet to have the battery go low on me with constant use, and infrequent recharges.
This thing is great, worked out many problems I had before, but it is still a bit pricey.
I recommend this over a palm just because of the fact that it is easier to get used to then palms.
