Great product abandoned by creator

Pros: features, messaging and automation
Cons: drivers, battery
The Bottom Line: Would have recommended it a few years ago. Now I would look at integrated solutions with all the features built in to a normal phone.

We have been using this phone for a number of years and it has brought good service. The phone is remarkably reliable for a cordless phone.
One issue as mentioned is that the battery is hard to replace. I did end up in an electronics shop and they looked at the battery and said it was odd to see one with an 'ATT' connector. They spliced a connector on to a battery and it works great again.
My main issue is that it only works on Windows 95 and 98.The problem for me is that the software seems to lock up under these operating systems every few days or so. I was hoping to get it running on Windows XP, but no luck. It's disappointing to see Microsoft not support their own product. If anyone knows of a driver for this phone that works with Windows 2000 or XP, please let me know!
