Pros: Nice orange scent. Great concept.
Cons: Difficult to get cloths out; doesn't really polish
The Bottom Line: Orange Glo Polishing Cloths are great in concept. I did not find the dispenser/instructions very easy to use, and I found the cloths average for cleaning/polishing wood.

| Suzer's Full Review: Orange Glo Polishing Cloths |
I am not Martha Stewart, not even Susie Housekeeper. I am Suzi, oh, it's the maid's day off, d@#&* it. Of course it is every day. I was very pleased when I read about the new Orange Glo Polishing Cloths. I love the Orange Glo Wood Polish Spray (I know I reviewed it, but it seems to have evaporated or would place the link here). It provides the best shine I have ever seen. I guess I expected the same with this product. Same product, but comes in easy to use cloths. What more could anyone want?
Packaging:
Well, I received the 30 polishing cloths (the size is 7" by 9") in a plastic dispenser. They are a rather thick cloth, so won't fall apart. They cost around $5.99 online. I've never seen them in the retail stores, but perhaps they are available there. I find online shopping easier.
The instructions to use the cloths are rather tricky, and I have to admit I had difficulty getting the first cloth, and for that matter the cloths following. Here are the instructions to show you what I was dealing with. These instructions are on the packaging, and also on drugstore.com, the site where I made my purchase.
http://www.drugstore.com
Pull top lid off by lifting upward. Remove top seal. Do not pull on tab opening.
Pull cloth out from center of roll. Insert corner of center cloth through flap opening on lid. Do not push finger through opening.
Replace lid and pull cloth out at a 45 degree angle. The next cloth pops up automatically. When finished, reseal by closing lid flap to retain moisture. Dispose of cloths in the proper container. I am not a rocket scientist, and don't think it should require one to use cleaning cloths. Grrrrr.
DO NOT FLUSH DOWN TOILET.
Now, here is the kicker. I didn't catch this on my dispenser, but couldn't miss it on the website.
Warnings:
Do not use for personal hygiene. Excuse me?????
Wash hands after use. Not for use on people or animals. May cause eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician.
Their hype:
They state that the product cleans and polishes wood surfaces. I agree that the polishing cloths are easy to use once you get the puppies out of the challenging dispenser, if you can without demolishing the dispenser, soemthing I was tempted to do. Granted, the towlettes are premoistened, so you don't have to hassle with finding a cloth, paper towel, or whatever you normally use. They indicate that the cloths can be used for quick dusting, and that they will remove smudges, pawprints (fingerprints), and will remove dust and dirt.
Additionally their claims are that they won't leave behind wax buildup or oily residue, and that you can then just wipe and throw away the clothes. They are made of pure orange oil.
My experience:
I explained the difficulty I had in getting out the initial cloth, and I have to admit I am not anxious to use these cloths as they are so tricky for me to get out. Perhaps it is just me. . . I now have three dispensers, so I do need to use them. See below for the reason. Anyway, once I maneuvered the cloths out, I have used them for all wood surfaces in my house. It is a small house, but I have my computer desk, an entertainment center, several end tables, the top of the television sets, dining room table, chest of drawers, etc. I found them to be simply okay. Even when first opened, they seem dryish to the touch, so I am tempted to moisten them. Now why should someone need to moisten, moistened towels? I am sorely disappointed that they do not have the same wonderful outcome as the Orange Glo Wood Polish Spray. They remove most of the dust for me, but where's the shine? They do have a nice scent, but not quite enough of that, and what there is, dissipates shortly after using. I haven't found however that they cause streaking (other than me streaking through the house naked as I clean).
Why I have three dispensers of this average-to-me product:
As mentioned above I purchased the Orange Glo Wood Polishing Cloths from drugstore.com, I also purchased some powder laundry detergent. For whatever reason the laundry detergent spilled into the packaging box, and got on my other purchases. I explained to the website customer service representative, and they offered to, and sent me a duplication of my complete order, and said I did not need to send back the original order. They accidentally sent me two dispensers of the polishing cloths in lieu of one of the other items, so now I have three.
Final thoughts and recommendations:
If you are more coordinated than I am, and do well with written instructions, you may not have a problem opening the dispenser and getting the cloths. That would alleviate one obstacle, however other than the convenience (if you can easily get them out) I don't think they are that great. I'd much rather use their fantastic Orange Glo Wood Polish Spray with a cloth or paper towel. I am giving the cloths a generous 3 stars, and hope they rethink the packaging, and make these so they clean and polish as well as the spray. By the way, a present deal offered at drugstore.com is purchase $9.99 of Orange Glo, Orange Clean or Kaboom products, and get a dispenser of these cloths free. Just thought I'd mention it :)
