Pros: 3-point harness, 4 harness positions, Easy to install and easy to use.
Cons: adjusting the overhead shield
The Bottom Line: Overall all car seats require some effort to strap your child in properly. My child is comfortable and I feel confident that she is safe and protected.

I love this carseat. I've delt with quite a few seats in my day as a babysitter, auntie and finally mom. I love the overhead shield(Yes,I said I love this overhead shield). Now I bought this seat because my 15 month was reaching the weight limit on her infant seat of 22lbs. First I look at this seat on the internet. It has a lot of nice features.
Pros:
4 harness positions, which can be changed very easily.
Front harness adjuster
3 position adjustable shield
2-piece chest clip
1 recline position(forward-facing and rear-facing).
Really nice fabric
My child seems comfortable in this seat.
The best thing about this seat is how the harness is strapped around the child. Okay you know how on most overhead shields, the harness threads through the shield, well that is not the case here. When you put you child in this seat the harness does not thread through the shield, it stays on the child. The harness comes over the childs head and locks at the crotch.(It almost reminds of a 3point harness on an infant seat). I thought this was really nice feature.
Cons:
adjusting the overhead shield.
Okay I read in a review that this was a real problem with this seat. So When I got it home, I tried to adjust the shield and I couldn't do it. I thought there was something wrong with the seat it self. So I had almost taken it back to the store and my mom said I should call Evenflo. That was the best thing I did. The customer service agent was so nice(Wendy). I told her about the problem I was having and she walk me through how to adjust it. She had the exact model in front of her and I could hear her playing with the shield. Once she figured it out and told me how to do it, it became a snap.
I also really like that there are 2 harness positions for rear-facing and 2 positions for forward-facing. Right now I have this seat installed rear-facing because my daughter(Mya) has not reached 30lbs yet. It was easy to install tightly in rear-facing. The recline is just right for my daughter. Just for this review I installed it forward-facing with no problems.
I know some people have had problems finding the slot to put the buckle in. Some reviews said that the shield was in the way of seeing where to put the buckle. I think that it is true if you try to buckle the seat in front of you, however because my car is so small(Chevy Cavalier)I have to buckle it from the side and it is much easier. I have not experienced problems with this.
Overall all car seats require some effort to strap your child in properly. My child is comfortable and I feel confident that she is safe and protected. I would highly recommend this seat to a friend. If I needed to buy another seat to leave at grandma's or for a second car, I would buy this seat again. Overhead shield or 5-point harness, the best car seat is the one that fits your child and your car. Any car seat is better then no car seat.
I hope this review helps. If you want to talk about this seat email me at taekwondokid01@yahoo.com
