Pros: I'm still trying to think of one.
Cons: hard drive failed at 4 months, the cooling fans failed after 1 year
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't own another HP computer or any other brand for that matter if you paid me. and by the way Compaq is to HP like Mercury is to Ford.

I built a computer for $700 that lasted 6 years. I thought HP was reliable so I made the plunge and upgraded to the HP Pavilion 7950 with the AMD processor. The hard drive failed after 4 months, after getting a new machine I was continually disapointed with the speed of the system. It seemed to run hot but no one would do anything until it failed. Well the power supply failed after only a year and a half conveniently I may add after the warrantee ran out and HP stopped support. Now I have a $1000 paper weight because I refuse to spend any more money on this BS Technology that can't be trusted. The cost and aggravations incurred by owning this BS technology far out weighs the advantages. You know what I'm talking about, the cost of the computer plus the added cost for support (HP), not knowing when it will work properly, software upgrades that don't work plus the added costs for support (MICROSOFT), patches, viruses plus the added costs for protection (MCAFFEE), junk mail plus the added costs for filtering, corporate purchases and sales that force new e-mail addresses (COMCAST/AT&T) and the run arounds between hardware and software support. OH! Don't forget children fighting over who gets to use it and when, privacy issues, porn issues need I go on? All this and more for the low low price of more than $100.00 a month. Who needs it. DUH!
