Does Not Last!!!

Mar 14 '00 (Updated Mar 16 '00)

When I bought my Mustang, I wanted a good in-dash CD player without it costing me and arm and leg. Wal-Mart had a Jensen on sale for $159.99, normally $199.99. It sounded like a very good deal so I purchased it.

I had it installed by a Radio Shack tech and it worked good for about a month. It fit right in my dash without any additional equipment. Then about a month later, the detachable face plate would not stay on. This did not bother me that much, just a little annoying. But then it got cold weather and the CD player would not work until it heated up. Then it got worse, it would not play the CD's at all. This CD player is only 5 months old, so I had a stereo repair shop look at it. They told me it would cost more to fix it than it was worth.

So, I still have it in my dash, but only the radio part works and that is with alot of static. I can't afford to go out every 5 month and buy a new one, so I am stuck with this one for now. What seemed like a good deal turned out to be nothing more than a headache and loss of money.
