| vcrimson's Full Review: Nokia 3210 GSM Cellular Phone |
I've been putting off getting a mobile phone for years, in fact I swore I'd never get one because I hate the things...and I hate seeing people on the phone everywhere I go....but the time finally came when I just couldn't really get by without one any longer and so I had to choose the right phone and the right deal for me...
Then I saw this cute little Nokia 3210...I knew it was the right one. It has tons of features:
text messages
picture messages
call waiting
call forwarding(call divert)
a built in calculator function
40 different ring tones plus a ring composer
the ability to get daily news and information
interchangeable fascias (covers)
3 different games to play when you're bored (memory, rotation, and snake)
and a host of other nifty little functions...
The phone is just the right size and has a built in antennae so you don't have to worry about breaking it off or anything like that..the microphone is also hidden away so that it doesn't get crud in it or whatever...
and it's a good solid phone...some mobiles are so light that they just don't seem right, but this phone has got some substance to it. I've already dropped it a few times and nothing has broken or cracked as of yet!!
The sound quality is actually quite good I think..I was surprised the first time I used it, because of my experiences using other people's mobiles. The voices are crystal clear on both ends.
One neat feature is Nokia's X-press on covers..These are interchangeable covers that just snap on and snap off..they come in a large variety of colours and pictures and patterns..however...they don't come cheap...they run about $15-$35..depending whether you buy Nokia brand covers or another brand...obviously the Nokia ones are the more expensive.
The games are not high tech or anything...but they are good entertainment when you're sitting somewhere bored with nothing else to do..and each game has 5 or 6 different levels of difficulty even..memory happens to be my favourite...
I like the picture messages too. They are fun even though the phone only comes loaded with 3, you can get other pictures on the net or from other people and save them into your database.. and the text messaging comes with a built in dictionary as well as a "smart" feature which tries to guess what you are going to type and types the words first
all in all, I think this is a great little phone and it has tons of great features...and I still haven't even touched on all of them!
