Rockford Fosgate Subwoofers

Apr 14 '00

There are many lines of subwoofers and speakers out there on the market and most people are unsure which ones to invest their money in. Therefore I am going to fill you in on why I would not recommend the RF Speakers.

I would not recommend these speakers to someone, but I did give them a 3-star rating because some many like them over some other speakers and they are a rather durable speaker that are constructed very well and can hold a lot of power without any malfunctions.

The sound these speakers release is there, but it just isn't deep. The speakers seem as if they are designated more toward mid-range sounds. They sound like a mixture between mid-range and bass sounds and it pounds out a sort of muddy strange bass. They may fulfill your wants if you are not a rap fan, but these speakers are definitely not for hip-hop.

I have heard the whole line of their subs in many different vehicles, so this is not subjected towards a certain model, they all have this flaw that really annoys an advanced stereo user such as myself. If you want deep deep constant bass buy MTX. If you want good clean bass that hits, try JL Audio Subwoofers. I would definitely not spend a lot of money for these unless they were on the clearance shelves.
