| flipping's Full Review: Nokia 7110 GSM Cellular Phone |
I have tried a few mobile phones from different brands such as Ericsson, Sony, Alcatel, Motorola and Panasonic. Now, I can for sure say that Nokia has many advantages that the others don't.
First of all, the screen is huge!!! Even if the web technology is not quite advanced yet, the Nokia 7110 allows you to navigate with ease. Not to forget the roller that makes everything smooth and fast.
Where Nokia really rules is on the interface. I have never seen such a friendly easy to use interface on a mobile phone. Every section is clearly defined and you can access them with a snap either with the roller or the key shortcuts!
The only two things that I don't like about the Nokia 7110 is that it does take one second to do all operations (load message to read, cleaning folder...) which might not seem long but it is compared to others. Also, it is a bit two heavy to be forgotten in a pocket.
Of course, the Nokia 7110 has all the features that current mobile phone give (sms, email, infrared, vibra, internet-wap...) but I guess that the "coolest" part is the little button that eject the cover that protects the keypad... In a snap, the phone almost double its length which gives you a better grapp in your hand as if you were handling a real phone!
Finally, the resistance is great: I dropped my Nokia 7110 several time on hard floor and it is still working perfectly!!!
With the Nokia 7110, I know that I will be happy for a long time. For me, a better version would be lighter with a faster processor.
