| xcarrero's Full Review: EchoStar 3720 Dish Network System |
Think it twice before you sign up for satellite-TV with Dish Network. They won't let you know about technical difficulties or physical limitations that will not allow your system to receive the satellite signal (even though they're supposed to be disclosed if found). They'll just go ahead and proceed to install the system (obviously they charge for that). Then, when the service goes on and off, you will spend long worthless hours over the phone with tech reps troubleshooting your system.
Eventually they'll realize there's a physical limitation that can not be solved. They'll blame the installers (which Dish Network hires directly) and will say that there's nothing they can do since they're independent companies. Moreover, they don't keep a record of the installations performed by each installer so forget about contacting him [the installer]. The installation report does not have a useful name, phone # or reference # either.
Finally, they will neglect to restore your previous cable TV service (or to pay for the reinstatement) and to reimburse you for the installation of the system that should not had been installed in the very first place.
Customer service? It's just not worth it. They'll instruct you to write letters to different departments and they'll also ignore some of the issues you are trying to settle.
