| a_c_s's Full Review: MPTrip MP3-CD Player |
This player gives you extraordinary value for the money. I was previously using and RCA 64MB lyra player, which was great, but costs twice as much money and only gives an hour of playback on the 64MB card. Now with this CD MP3 player, you can put upwards of 160 songs on a CD for endless hours of playback. Imagine carrying the equivalent of about 30 or so CD's on 2 CD's when you travel. I paid $115 for this thing several months ago (now a little cheaper I believe) and it was worth every penny. The sound quality is actually fantastic, which you wouldn't expect by looking at the cheap design, and the feature set is very good. It supports subdirectories, plays CDRs and CDRWs as well as normal CDs, and has different base settings that act almost like an equalizer. It is extremely user friendly and cheap compared to the smaller MP3 players using flash and smart media cards. Only drawback is that it does not support ID tags (only shows track numbers), but that is a small complaint when considering this is only the first generation of many to come. Buy one today, you'll love it!!!
