Lights, Camera(Samsung SCL540), Action!!

My husband got me this wonderful camcorder. It is a Samsung SCL540ntsc. He figured I would take better film and it has a screen to watch while filming so it is easier for him, since he wears glasses. (It also has an eyehole, but it is hard to view through with his vision.) Let me tell you and the world, that my husband was right!
This camcorder sold at the local Sears after Thanksgiving for about $250.00 and is worth the price. There is a remote control, an image stabilizer, a snapshot mode, digital zoom, lithium battery pack, time base corrector, shoulder strap, and more...
I took this camcorder to my kindergartener's first program. I was able to watch my child singing and glance at the side screen to be sure that I was getting her in the center of the screen. I was able to enjoy the entire class instead of what is viewed in just the viewfinder due to this feature.
The zoom button is easy to reach with the same hand. That left the other hand free for wiping the tears of pride off my cheeks. The image stabilizer won't let the audience viewing my recording know of the uncontrollable shaking in my hands during the performance. The shoulder strap allowed me to enjoy the program more knowing that I wouldn't drop the camcorder and smash it on the floor.
The camcorder is definitely worth the money for new parents, grandparents, any parents, people who aren't parents, anyone ...
