Echo Star 3000 Dish Network

Jan 25 '00

We came across a deal we couldn't turn away. If you previously had cable or a dish, Echostar would furnish the dish and the box free.
All we had to do was decide which package we wanted as far as programing.
The dish is very small compared to the old 6 foot mesh dish we previously owned. The cost was much more reasonable, free compared to $3000.00.
The programming is great. We started out with the basic package which included all of ESPN, Disney channels, Lifetime, History, Sci-fi and several others.
After a few months our stereo system quit working. So we added the second tier which includes 30 music stations. These stations have CD quality and all types of music.
Then we added fox and Wpix.
You can pretty much pick the channels that you want besides the packages.
We had a slight problem occur last week when our cat got sick on the box. The unit quit working. I called the company. They were out that evening with a new box. The total cost was $59.00. Not bad for fast service and replacement.
The only reason we had to pay at all is because it wasn't a natural event.
We have been so happy with this dish by Echostar that we got our parents one for Christmas. We had to pay $150.00 for theirs because they never had cable or a dish.
