Aiwa still has bugs

Jan 20 '00

Aiwa stereo systems are affordable, and produce a good sound, but the positives end there. The good sound is soon lost due to malfunctions with their hardware. Mechanical errors are among the top complaints I've heard about Aiwa stereo products. My Stero is a three cd changer with double cassette. The tape decks don't work anymore, and the CD does not sit properly within its seat and needs to be shaken into place in order to play.
Aiwa can make a good sound, but not a reliable playing device. If you enjoy tinkering with electronics, one of these systems will supply you with plenty of practice. But if you prefer a stereo system that is reliable and will not fail for many years, I suggest Kenwood or JVC.
