Great sound Poor hardware

Aiwa. We have all seen the commercials about how great the sound is. This is true except for the fact that it could use a little more bass to it. I first got my stereo about two years ago. I set it up and it sounded awsome although every once in a while a heard a kind of scratchy noise. I finnaly got it fixed and it seemed good as new until the Cd's began getting stuck in a slot above where it is supposed to hang. This got annoying because only certain songs would play. I also feel that there are problems with the laser itself as well. I feel that if I am gonna pay a lot for a product it should be reliable. If were gonna pick a stereo now a days I would chose either a SONY or a Kenwood. I have not heard many complaints about the two.
