| RDS2112's Full Review: NAD 317 NAD Integrated Amplifier |
Movie buffs look elsewhere, music lovers read on!!!
If you don't know NAD, you should go to their website and get to know their products. For the most part, you just can't beat them for simplistic quality. This little 80W black box has the soul of a high-end amplifier* with lots of smooth power and overhead, and a similar pricetag of those do-it-all low-end receivers at Best Buy. You'll loose the flashy lights and funky displays that will impress your yuppie friends but what you'll gain is sound unmatched by anything under a $1000, and durability that is unmatched by any of those Star Trek tri-corder wannabies lurking on top of the 40 inch TV's at Circuit City. Buy it, you'll like it. The same goes for all of NAD's integrated amps like the 320. If you can find a NAD3020, you must buy it!
*In fact, the amplifier section of this integrated amp is straight from the NAD217 which has been on the audiophile hitlist for years.
