This TV offers a better picture and excellent sound at prices much lower than the competition. There are many TV's in the same price range as the Samsung 2766, but none offer 600 lines of resolution like the Samsung does. What this equates to is a much better picture than other models noticeable when using DVDs. The sound on this unit is also quite good. The unit offers SAP (signal audio processing) which creates a surround sound effect from two channels. SAP signals are broadcasted by several television stations, so this feature won't go to waste. The menus on this TV are also very straightforward.
One feature I like about this TV is the ability to turn off the TV's speakers. Some of the other models in the price range didn't have this option which would annoy me when I use my surround sound system. Two other good features are the fron A/V inputs (for quick connection of camcorder or video game system) and the variable audio outputs. With the variable audio outs, you can connect your receiver to the TV and vary the sound with your TV remote.
I would recommend this TV to everyone, especially those who want a great picture at a low price.
