My reliable Pioneer PD-M603

Apr 17 '00

I've owned this CD player for at least three years, probably longer. We had always been die-hard vinyl fans, but technology was passing us by, so I marched myself down to Good Guys, and picked this one up on clearance, and I'm sure glad I did. What a reliable machine! I love the 6 CD changer... all I have to do is load in the CD's and I have music all day, I use the "random" function and its like listening to my own radio station. Its always interesting to hear what song combinations pop up.
The ADLC function keeps the sound levels from CD to CD equal so a louder CD doesn't suddenly blast your ears out. You can buy extra CD magazines so you can keep your favorite CD combinations ready to pop into the player. Its programmable, but I've always found that a little tricky, and mostly unnecessary for my purposes so I don't use that function very often.
I also like the remote control, and the headphone jack with its independent volume control.
This CD player has never given me any trouble, and I expect many more years of use out of it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Pioneer CD player in the future if this one ever gives out
