| maxfax's Full Review: EchoStar 2710 Digital Satellite System |
One of the easiest to use dish systems on the market. Pay per view can be locked with a code, as can non-child friendly channels.
Dish setup a snap (did it myself in 10 minutes - just make sure you can see the bird!)
Channels available - excellent. Packages are good, but not too "customizable."
Customer service VERY helpful and courteous.
Dish receiver was difficult for me to connect due to shortage of inputs on TV, etc... I ended up connecting through a VCR, and then found out that some copy protected channels won't play through or record on a VCR! I settled for using the RF output of the receiver (with seriously reduced image quality) and the audio outputs for the stereophonic audio.
Still better than cable, and more reliable.
