| Everclear22's Full Review: B&W Nautilus HTM1 Bookshelf Speaker |
Before I get into this review I highly recommend you read my review of the Nautilus 804s to understand the history of my speaker shopping.
These speakers are the perfect complement to a Home Theater built off of the Nautilus 800 speaker line. This particular beast will actually outperform the 804s and 805s and is equal in every aspect to the 803s. Even used in conjunction with the 801s and 802s this speaker performs incredibly well (lacking only the depth of base of the 801 and 802s).
For those of you who have not had the happy experience of auditioning the Nautilus 800 series I suggest you find your nearest local dealer and take a listen. These speakers have some of the best reproduction of any on the market. There are many reviews of the Nautilus 800 series in general so I will not repeat that info here.
When watching 5.1 (DD or DTS) this center speaker accurately and faithfully reproduces sound and human voices as if they were in the same room. If the microphone caught it, you will hear it with these speakers!! No need to adjust volume when people onscreen whisper since the voices will be crystal clear w/ no distortion. These speakers are timber matched to the other speakers in the Nautilus 800 series so the soundstage is seamless and complete.
These speakers are also particularly attractive and fit well into a finished Home Theater. In addition the build quality is superb.
If you enjoy Home Theater and need a quality center speaker that will allow you to hear detail like never before this is the speaker for you. You will not be dissapointed in what is delivered to your ears.
