Pros: Price, power, sound Cons: remote control not backlit
What a deal! Receiver with 100watts of power, 5 spearkers - great sound! I paid $525 for this at Circuit City - I bought a floor model. Highly reccomeded as a nice starter system for Home Theatre enthusiats. Also purchased a Toshiba DVD 3109 to go with...
Pros: Included VR407 receiver is top-notch Cons: Poor remote design; speakers merely average
The HTB-503 is the successor to the HTB-502 and is an excellent mid-range starter system. I recently needed to replace my home stereo system and began shopping around the web for a starter system for a home theater. Here were my basic requirements: ...
Pros: sounds great, all in one solution, easy install, instructions are well written Cons: quirky remote control operation
I'll admit it I'm an "audio-igno". I don't know the first thing about audio products at all. When people start talking about "signal to noise ratio" and stuff like that I just start zoning out. Sorry, this is not going to be a...
The Kenwood HTB-502 system-in-a-box is not your normal system-in-a-box. Unlike many pre-packaged systems, like those I've seen from Pioneer, Sony, and others, Kenwood puts high quality separates into this awesome setup.
Pros: Excellent sound, easy to setup Cons: Remote is a bit tricky
This is actually a review of Kenwood's HTB-553 home theater system. The only difference between the 503 and the 553 is the receiver. The 503 has the VR-407 receiver and the 553 has the VR-409 receiver. They have the exact same speakers.
Pros: Awesome sound, deep bass, great Cons: Small buttons on remote
Having received a new DVD player for Christmas, I was in search of a home theater system to bring my DVDs alive. I scoured the Internet for home theater reviews and spent hours in electronics shops listening to various systems. After a couple weeks of...
Pros: Sounds great, low cost, Kenwood has top notch customer support Cons: None for the value
This is an excellent starter system and the best in its price range category.
DVD movies sound incredible. Not the best speakers, but you can upgrade them on your own.
This system should suit most audiophile's home theater needs, for movies it...
Pros: Subwoofer is amazing, receiver top notch Cons: No virtual surround, it's true, the remote does really suck!
Alright, the reason it get's only 4 stars is simple. The remote is a disgrace, it makes the entire package seem crappy. I can't even get it to control my Kenwood DVD player. I ordered a crisp solutions Ucommand 515 to replace it. it will be arriving...
Pros: Great value for the money. Lots of features and inputs in reciever for the price. Cons: REMOTE SUCKS !!!
Cables that come with the system should be thrown out.
This is a review for the updated HTB-503 system.
I agree with the majority of the reviewers here and think that this is an awesome system. As everyone else will agree, the remote is neither convenient to use nor 'Universal'.
Pros: It's a Kenwood! And at a steal. And with DTS Cons: Surround speakers are a little small
Looking for a great surround sound package that won’t set you back in cash. Look no further than here. Sure there are better systems out there, however for the most bang for the buck I would suggest this one. To begin with, I am an avid fan of surround...
Pros: Bargain Price, Real 100-Watt Powered Sub, Great Speakers for this Price Point Cons: You'll Eventually Want to Move Up to Higher-Quality Speakers
I would post this under the HTB-503 category, but there isn't one. Epinions hasn't updated product information (other than movie and music releases) for months. So, if you wanted to read a review of an old, out-of-date product you can't buy anymore (the...
This system provides the perfect solution for a college dorm room or small apartment. The receiver is adequately powerful, and provides enough inputs to satisfy any music lover. The only problem with this system is the speakers. At high volumes, the...
Pros: Great sound for a reasonable price Cons: Remote control is too small- buttons very small
If you are looking for a home theater system that delivers excellent sound and won't set you back a lot of money, Kenwood has a product for you.
My two college age sons were always complaining about my poor sound system that was a part of my old...
Pros: Great receiver, Nice powered sub woofer and upgradability Cons: Front and rear speakers leave something to be desired - but do the job nicely.
I was researching systems, looking for the best buy and what not, and was almost certain that I was going to buy one of Sony's home theater packages, but when a salesman brought me over to the 503 I was sold on
the spot. For starters- the...
