On_Line Mistakes!!

2 years ago I decided to file my taxes electronically. I did this through a software program I had purchased. I did a 1040a form. Nothing complicated. I filed everything out and sent it in. I had to call 48 hours later and confirm that everything went through. Filing was easy!
Then came the problems. When I called to confirm, you had to put in the amount of your refund. I did so, but it kept rejecting. I finally got in and they gave me all my figures. Wow! Where did those come from? They were NOWHERE on my forms!! it was a total mess and there was nothing I could do. These numbers where nowhere on the forms that I had filed and I have no idea how they got them.
I had to then file an amended return. For anyone who has ever filed one of these, you know what a nightmare it can be. I am normal everyday person who has no trouble filling out taxes, but this was no picnic. I had to get all the original filing figures, which I did not have a copy of because it is NOT what I e-filed. Well, somehow I managed and got through it. Thankfully they owed me money and not the other way around. I had to wait longer for my money too!!
I am not mentioning the software that I used because I still really like it. It is great for doing your taxes. Although I must say, I will NEVER E-file with it again even though I can do 1 E-file for free.
They say that 1 in a million E-files mess up. They say the same about winning the lottery(1 in a million chance). Why couldn't I have been the lottery winner!!!!!!
