This web site is one of my top ten favorites out there. If you heard of a company that is about to go public and you are thinking about buying some stock you MUST check out this site first.
++It has everything, from the latest IPO news, a calendar of when the IPO's will be priced (if you don't know what that means here goes-it means that a stock can be traded publicly). There is also a calendar or recent pricing; the stats are listed week by week stats. You can also see what companies have recently filed to go public. Another link is to aftermarket performance (A term referring to the difference between a stock's initial offering price and its current market price. Some following the industry also measure aftermarket performance from the stock’s opening price to current trade-this was taken directly from the site). A great feature of this site is the search function. You can search a name or part of a name of a company and see whether a company is already on the market, or has filed but not yet gone public.
++For those of you who don't know what an IPO is, don't worry, this site has FAQ section that can answer almost any question you have. Another thing, they have a glossary of terms. That’s where I got the definition of what "Aftermarket Performance" meant.
++If you are looking for underwriters, accountants or law firms, this site has them listed alphabetically. They even give you the top ten of each underwriter, accountants and law firms.
++This is my favorite part of the site. Instead of me having to continually go to the site weekly to find out new info on IPO's, I get a weekly email newsletter with all the filings of the past week and what is happening in the IPO world.
