Smartmoney.com is a site that often gets overlooked by those who utilize financial websites, but smartmoney.com has a lot to offer.
To begin with, smartmoney.com has some of the best and most respected financial journalists in the entire financial publication industry. The quality and knowledge of the writers is quite obvious. Additionally, the writers are excellent at making the articles readable for the average person. Another favorite aspect of smartmoney.com involves the screening tools that they use when searching for stocks to recommend. Many of the tools will screen for a certain formula (growing revenues at x per year, growing profit x per year, and a pe under 100) and then show three or four of the stocks that most strongly match the criteria searched for. I have made some very good buys that smartmoney.com recommended. Finally, the retirement calculator is one of the best in the industry.
A negative is that smartmoney.com is not well known and has less in the way of research tools than some other sites. However, they tend to do a lot of the research for you. Depending on how you feel about doing your own research- you could love or hate this site.
I would strongly recommend the site for those looking for excellent articles and research that is already done.
