Best in the Heretic/Hexen line!

This is a great addition to the Heretic/Hexen line of games. The graphics are far superior to any seen in any of the original Heretic, Hexen or Hexen II. The plot is much more involving then a lot of other action games, you are seeking revenge on a wizard who destroyed your home city. The sounds are very captivating, ranging from a host of background noises to the speech of the monsters attacking you. Supposedly, it is non-compliant with 3Dfx or Aureal 3D sound, but I have personally used it on two computers with both, and all works well. It even comes with a 3Dfx video driver, so maybe the non-compliance has become obsolete in new versions. The movement is very smooth, and gameplay is very easy to get used to. The built-in tutorial level will each you all of the tricks that will be necessary to get through the game. The movies for the game are also very well done, being along the lines of the quality of the movies of Baldurs Gate (another very good game).
