| Lord_Legacy's Full Review: Bloody Roar for PlayStation 1 |
After Tekken and Soul Edge I decided there was never gonna be another fighter that could be better then them, well I was wrong!! I rented Bloody Roar thinking I was about to play a wannabe Tekken game, then as I was playing I hit a button and there was a flash of light and all of a sudden I was a wolf!! My mouth dropped open, a incredible hulk feeling hit me and for the next hour i was chanting at the screen *dont make me angry, you wouldnt like me when i'm angry*. After that hour i took the game back to the rental place and headed over to the local video game store and purchased it. This is a great game, theres nothing break through about it but its one of the most innovative fighting titles to ever be released. Unfortuantly every great game does have some flaws. Bloody roar is packed with 8 fighters and a boss, not much to choose from. Luckily the fun factor of turning into animals make up for that, but imagine if it was packed with 15-25 like most other fighting games!! Next problem was Controls, Turning into an animal can be done by pushing 1 button, most the moves a 3 yr old could figure out. Finally the sound wasnt all that good. Game is called bloody Roar but you wont hear many roars, and punches and kicks remind me of the Battle Arena Toshinden days when psx first came out. But regardless of these problems this is an awesome game, you'll be screaming ITS MORPHING TIME at the tv screen.
