Pros: Great tasting food, fun to use, versatile Cons: None
After dining at a friend's house where the delicious roast beef was cooked on the George Jr. Rotisserie, my husband and I decided to buy one ourselves.
I'm rarely fond of gimmicky appliances - it seems they usually end up stored away and...
Pros: mostly easy to use, good healthy cooking Cons: large and bulky, needs sufficient counter space
I have only had the George Foreman Jr Rotisserie for a short time, but I can give you some pro's and con's that I have encounted in this time. First: At this moment, hubby is wrestling like a pro with the skewers, to make shish kabob. I gave up 20...
Pros: Delicious food, quick cooking times, easy to clean, fun to use Cons: None
When we received a Baby George Foreman Rotisserie for Christmas without the owner's manual, we had to make an exchange. As we called around to a number of local department stores, everyone was OUT of all sizes of all George Foreman Rotisseries. This must...
Pros: Delicious rotisserie food, the fat drips away, who needs Boston Market! Cons: basket cleanup, you need to scrub!
Last year when the price of natural gas shot up I decided that my nice new large gas oven was going to have to sit it out. My family consists of only my husband and myself, and I was looking for economical small appliances that could do the job of my...
Pros: Styling, cooking results Cons: No temperature options, skewers won't turn, no stand-up base for the rotating wheel.
I'll be as brief as possible. It's a fairly nice unit, cleanly- designed, for one. But what's important is the cooking results, ease of use and cleanup. The food perhaps cooks well, but my problem was with the ribs. There should be a special drum of some...
Pros: Easy to use, clean, food comes out great and it is very entertaining! Cons: Barely got a 10lb turkey roasted and had to use twine to tie it up.
After watching the Ronco info-mercial several times I convinced myself that I must get a rotisserie machine, as I am a kitchen gadget addict. I must also thank all those who wrote reviews since you really helped me to decide which one to purchase. I am...
Pros: Cooks a great chicken! Mostly easy cleanup. Sized right for me. Cons: Impossible to clean the removable back reflector.
The George Jr. Rotisserie GR82 is a well-designed product. It is very easy to load a chicken onto the rack and have it cook perfectly. Make sure you buy some string to restrain those wings and legs, or they might rotate too close to the heating...
Pros: Anything that lets the fat run off meats can't be all bad! Cons: You need counter space, and stock in the local electric company.
This is one example of merchandising that benefits from the charisma of a celebrity endorsement. There really is nothing new about the concept of rotating your food next to a heat source, so I'll keep it short and sweet. It works as well as any of the...
Pros: Cooking is quick and easy. Meat is always tender and juicy while cutting the fat! Cons: None
My wife and I recently purchased the George Jr. Rotisserie, and would like to share our findings. The entire unit is 19 inches wide, stands 14 inches high and is 13 inches from front to back. (The unit is slightly larger than a toaster oven) It comes...
Pros: Easy to use, healthy foods. Cons: Compared to conventional cooking methods, none.
We ordered our Jr. from Allbrands.com. Assembly was complete.
We bought a fresh 5 lb. bird, prepared the chicken for cooking by placing it on the spit and tying the legs and wings. * This is important so these parts do not drag against the heating...
Pros: Small size can leave on counter Cons: lower temp takes longer to cook
love the smaller size,so you don't have to put away. You can leave on counter. Also own a Ronco showtime rotisserie and it is not designed as well for use or cleanup but it cooks at a higher temp. and the food cooks faster and in my and my wife's opinion ...
Pros: None compared to competitor Cons: Cheaply made,as noted above, and dangerous to use. Fire potential.
We bought a George Foreman GR82B George Jr. Rotisserie for work. I work in a facility where we cook a chicken for lunch on average 1 time a week. This product has proven to be faulty nearly right out of the box. I have discovered that the timer fails keep accurate time and the heating element, after a few chickens had cook, has started to over heat. The housing of the unit has turned browned from becoming too hot. Also with the cheap manufacturing of spits themselves, they have fallen apart. If you look at the spits where they insert into the wheel, you will see a poorly made rivet, that has over a few months disjointed. Needless to say your food will fall to the bottom of the unit and potentially cause a fire if not continually watched.
Do yourself, and your family and friends, justice and buy a safer rotisserie.
