Why call it morning sickness?
Jun 19 '00
I think it should be called pregnancy sickness or mother's sickness or something else because I don't remember having morning sickness. I have always had mine in the evening. Call me weird, but that's the way it was every time I was expecting.
I would be fine in the morning to get everything done and even go to work when I was still employed, but then get ready for the evening of fun. It lasted only so many weeks, but it was awful. My husband would be in bed either reading a book, watching tv or listening to me throw up in the bathroom next door.
Sometimes it would be so bad, he would run in and ask if I was okay. I'm okay, I would say and continue to do my thing. Then of course, after I was done, that was it, CRAVING TIME & TIME TO EAT.
Boy am I glad us women only get this when we are pregnant, it would be awful to have it all the time or even once a month.
These days they say there is a prescription for the morning sickness. If you absolutely cannot hold anything down and are constantly nauseated, ask your doctor for a prescription for morning sickness. I've heard it helps. Of course, the cravings are a whole different matter!!!!
