| AKVision's Full Review: Evenflo Trendsetter Advantage Travel System |
We purchased the Evenflo Trendsetter Advantage Travel System because it had all the conveniences of a stroller, carseat, and carrier in one unit. Although we have encountered a few snags along the way, they have all been easily addressed (see below) and we've been very pleased with our investment. We'd buy another for our next baby-but there will be no need because this one has held up so well!
We have found the stroller very simple to fold and unfold. You can even unfold it with one hand. I will, however, share a note of caution for folding the stroller: be sure the front wheels are aligned and locked in a "forward" position or you could bend the frame. This is a simple and very quick thing to do.
And speaking of wheels, I have heard several parents complain that the wheels squeak. An employee at the local retail store where I purchased my unit also said that this is a common complaint and reason for return. But when our wheels squeaked, we simply put some WD-40 into the shock-absorbing cases at the wheel base (not on the wheel itself) and after a couple of applications our problem has been solved. The stroller has been used extensively for the last 5 months and we've not heard a peep from the wheels since.
Overall, we've been most happy with the Evenflo Travel System because of its convenience. The carseat/carrier combination have been so convenient for getting a sleeping baby in and out of the car for errands without interrupting nap time. The stroller itself has been easy for baby to transition to since the seat reclines and provides plenty of support for babies even before they can sit up. In the fully reclined position, it has even served as a changing table when other options were not available. The basket underneath has no trouble accommodating our large diaper bag and other items. There are outer pockets on the basket as well for easy access to favorite toys or bottles. The cup holder (or remote control holder, as my husband calls it) is a nice touch as well. Overall, the expensive price tag that we originally balked at has turned out to be a very wise investment for our family, and a highly recommended one for yours.
