Do it for your baby and do it for the environment!

Jun 21 '00

I made the switch to cloth when my son was 6 months old and I wonder why I didn't do it from the start. I was under the impression that disposables were the only way to go but luckily I found my way to cloth and there is no turning back for me.

Cloth has changed quite a bit from the days of pins and and plastic pants. There is a whole world of different types, shapes, materials, and styles of cloth diapers. There is something for everyone and no matter how you do it, you still save money, and have peace of mind that you are doing you part in helping our environment.

It can be overwhelming at first with all the different choices but soon you get the hang of it and it is so easy. It is just as easy as any disposable on the market and they work so much better. I tried every brand of disposable diaper and none could keep from leaking. Every morning my son woke up wet and everyday his bowel movement leaked onto his clothes. I have never had a leak with my cloth diapers.

I have also noticed a great improvement in his skin. My son used to suffer from diaper rashes when in disposables. Now that his skin is in soft and comfortable cotton, rather than next to chemicals he is rash free.

I highly recommend cloth diapers to all parents new and expecting. It is much easier than you can imagine and your baby will thank you with smiles and hugs!
