Foop... I was hoping for Dallas. I don't know that we'll be able to make it to this one.

unless of course, they repeal the Wright Amendment and Southwest Airlines starts flying directly to the Bay Area from Dallas...

Like I did with Speeddemon Mike, I can swing by and get you on the way up, but then you'll have to help set up. Let's just say that the next time, Mike decided to sleep in.

I'd be there in a heartbeat... but $230 each for plane tickets seems excessive for a weekend jaunt, and the drive really can't be made in a single day like the Dalls-Chicago insanity we recently subjected ourselves to.

So I guess it could hurt you in the pocket book.

Especially after a slightly too-generous Christmas for our kids. Maybe I can get my mom to pay for flights... the week leading up to the SF MnG is my kids' spring break, so I could tempt her with getting to see her 'babies'.

RE: First Meet and Greet in 2005

Tom and I are tentatively going with a yes here... life is a bit up in the air right this second. Staying in his hotel in DC while a truck full of his belongings is sitting somewhere in southern Florida with no specific destination yet.

Yeah, we live life on the edge. LOL

So barring any as-yet unforeseen disasters, we should be able to make this....

One of these days, we'll get to meet, Lisa. Until then, you'll just have to pine. :-)

Thanks Dave...

'pine' used in that sense is a meme (I know, not the right word!) for me. The Monty Python 'Dead Parakeet' skit:

'It's probably pining for the fiords.'

Now I'll be 'pining for some Python' all day!

...tom...

RE: *sigh*

How bout Portland? I've got friends and family there so actually wouldn't mind flying up.(Seattle is too drizzly and cold--LOL)

I am San Jose and just don't find it enjoyable going up to San Francisco--parking, traffic, etc. Whine, whine, whine!

How about Gordon Birsch in dt San Jose, guys?

THEN I might make it!

Peggy

There must be someone you can carpool with so you don't have to worry about the traffic and parking? Maybe when we tally up RSVP's we can find out who is coming from the South Bay and coordinate something.

Tom and I are almost a certainty for S.F now and were wondering if we have a set place yet so we can go ahead and make our reservations for near that...

RE: Here's

I'll get to D.C., Atlanta, or Seattle for the next one as long as it's not on a weekend like Mother's Day!
