| ann_bell's Full Review: Tea Party |
I first heard them a year ago, when a friend of mine introduced me to their album..Splendor Solis..and the first thing I uttered after listening to "The River" was "Nirvana".
If you want to listen to an unusual version of alternative and industrial metal, Tea Party is a must-listen.
Yes, Tea Party (though not heard of a lot in the US) are huge in Canada..(they are based in Ontario), they are the pearl jam of Canada.
The band is but 3 multi-talented people..the lead singer Jeff Martin, who is also the lead guitarist is full of charisma, zest and feeling. In addition they also introduce certain indian instruments like the sitar, tabla etc. giving it that subtle indian-middle-eastern-celtic-mediterranean flavor. ooh aah.
So get yourself a Splendor Solis today and die and go to heaven.
