On at multiple occasions I have had poor service rendered from the staff of The Wichita Eagle. If your paper is not delivered one morning, watch out when you call to ask for the paper you are paying for. The person on the other end has continually been rude to me, whomever it may happen to be on that day. Even after requesting a paper when you are skipped and told that one is on its way, don't count on it. It usually won't come. On the upside, they are very good about not delivering a paper when you are going out of town and you request to not receive the paper for a couple of days.
As far as the news is concerned as printed in The Wichita Eagle, it varies. At times I find the quality of articles written to be excellent, however, more often than not, the quality is not to a standard that a newspaper should uphold. I am disappointed with poor quality, but even more so when it is repeated over and over again. When something remotely big happens, it is all the newspaper reports on for days. Stories become stale and mundane. They should keep an even field on which they report. Granted, some stories deserve more attention than other, but, not for a week straight when nothing new has happened.
Overall, even though sometimes I am satisfied with the service of The Wichita Eagle, the times that I am not satisfied I am extremely disturbed by what my money goes to.
