Pros: Half the price of the competitors. Cons: Lock cores are not compatible with Yakima or Thule.

Rocky Mount Lariat S/L
by patdagner ,Jul 13 '06
Pros: Easy Installation, Easy operation, multiple colors, and outsanding price. Cons: None so far.
The Rocky Mount Lariat has replaced the Nomad. I own both and I really like the appearance of the Lariat. I bought this product in order to carry another bike on my roof rack (Yakima) which has also been trouble free with a little maintenance. Basically Rocky Mount bike carriers will fit on either Yakima or Thule roof racks and are a fraction of the cost. See for yourself at http://www.racksolid.com

Rocky Mounts Lariat SL bike tray
by checkhere ,Jun 27 '04
Pros: Sturdy, simple and less expensive. Cons: None yet.
I added this tray to an existing roof rack at a fraction of the cost of a Thule or Yakima. At first I thought this was a flimsy imitation of a better rack. I was wrong, this rack is bombproof. I find the simplicity enjoyable.
