by jetbluefan1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jan 14 '05
Pros: cutting-edge technology, great deals on phones and plans
Cons: below par reception for Long Island residents, horrible reception for Upper West Side residents
Where do I start? That's a question that should strike everyone when trying to explain his or her T-Mobile experience(s). This company has so many hidden fees and problems that my mind may just explode from all the information that it's ...

Speaking my mind about Voicestream...finally! Read on to be stunned.

by topopat , Jul 28 '02
Pros: 411 voicestream information is free
Cons: Poor Poor Service, sharing minutes, dropped calls, hidden charges
Well, it has been three years since I have invested in a family plan with Voice Stream. I bought five phones for the whole family, supposedly for one low price a month...that is unless you go over the alloted minutes. This is one of many problems with...

Hell has a new name...T-Mobile.

by gustavo2000 , Sep 15 '03
Pros: Uhhh...a nice phone and good service in Manhattan.
Cons: Everything else. Horrible customer service, horrible signal.
I am writing a review for epinions because I was extremely unhappy with the level of service I had been receiving from my cell phone company. I was signed up for service with T-Mobile. The summer of 2003 I made the disastrous decision of signing a ...

by mistyblue1 , Jan 12 '05
Pros: Text messaging and the Get More Plan!
Cons: T-Mobile Rebate Program, Authorized dealers, Bill Format, and Billing intervals
I've been a T-Mobile customer since the end of September 04. I decided to use T-Mobile over other carriers because I've had experience with others in the past and know of their customer service and cellular service issues. However, I have several ...

by kweckstrom Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 10 '02
Pros: GPRS service is relatively fast, and DOESN'T user your plan minutes.
Cons: Only 10MB of data transmission per month, $39.95/mo
NOTE: This epinion will be most useful to those who are considering Voicestream's iStream data service.

Ok, I've been a verizon customer for a long time now in both Data and Voice categories. I have been using their CDPD products for the past...

by optikalny , Dec 11 '04
Pros: No Contracts, Nationwide calling and TXT, Good local coverage
Cons: Nationwide coverage can be weak, No unlimited calling
I have been using T-Mobile pre-paid service for over two years now, when it was originally VoiceStream. I was a bit leery going with a plan, and after tallying my friends' different services, I thought I'd try pre-paid since there are no commitments and ...

Bad Credit? Get More

by fade2dust , Apr 25 '04
Pros: Good signal, good plans.
Cons: t-zones doesn't work too good.
I recently purchased a plan and phone through T-Mobile because I have bad credit and they are the only cellular company willing to give me a phone plan without a deposit. Plus I think they have the best plans to choose from. I am not tech savvy about ...

by kenshin27 , Sep 05 '01
Pros: Good amount of minutes for the price, GSM network, good customer service
Cons: Limited coverage in the boonies, weak indoor reception at times
Well, I've used Voicestream for over a year now and thought I'd do some updating. You can still read my original review at the bottom.

Stay Away from VoiceStream

by nyprincess21 , Aug 03 '02
Pros: A lot of minutes Cheaper than other competitors
Cons: Customer Service Reception Service Hidden Fees
As a commuting college student in NY I need a cell phone. I had AT&T and Verizon in the past but last October I decided to switch to VoiceStream after the salesman convinced me that I will get service in a large coverage area and plus they offered so...

Voicestream: Good minutes, bad service

by syo202 , May 21 '01
Pros: good plans with a lot of minutes, provides service to the NOKIA 8290
Cons: Far too many dropped calls, busy circuits, poor service, contract
I have used AT&T, MCI worldcom, and Sprint. The reason I have hopped from service to service was because each company did not meet my expectations. My expectations are not austere; it is to merely receive service that will consist of undropped calls,...

Update as of 1/6/03

T-Mobile best value in NYC

by geroshrink , Dec 12 '02
Pros: Great coverage in NYC. Good coverage in cities. Great value. GSM sounds better than CDMA.
Cons: Poor coverage out of urban areas. Poor customer service.
Which do you prefer: price or penetration? I, for one decided to go for price. I chose the carrier that offered the most minutes and best phone for the money.

I have been with Voice Stream, now T-Mobile for just over a year now. I thought...

It's 'Amateur Hour' (and don't even THINK about emergencies)

by exaudi , Apr 06 '02
Pros: Less-expensive plans/more minutes.
Cons: Almost everything else.
UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW (4/13/02): A few days ago, I tried to call a friend who's a VoiceStream customer. I called repeatedly on several landlines over 40 minutes, but got only disconnects, non-rings and interference. During all this time, that friend...
