Pros: Small...Cooks Great! One of life's little pleasures!
Cons: Cord is only 5' long
We have always done our bar-b-qing on a gas grill. The last one we purchased was about 12 years ago...so we thought it was about time for a new one.

This time around, instead of a gas grill, we purchased one of Char-Broils Electric Grills. It...

Perfect for Terrace Grilling.

by timkirk , Apr 06 '01
Pros: Even Grilling, very convenient, fairly priced and extremely safe!
Cons: Difficult to clean, wiring in element burns out, expensive replacement parts.
My wife and child and I live in an apartment in Manhattan. We have a large terrace, but we are restricted from having an open flame on our terrace. We both love to grill steaks and fish, but it creates too much smoke to do in the apartment. The Patio...

Patio-Caddie: Electric or Gas?

by LKRandall , May 30 '01
Pros: Compact, well-engineered, convenient
Cons: 110 volt (1650 watt) heating element is adequate, but under-powered compared to similar gas grills
Eopinions here helped me decide to buy a "Patio Caddie". However, after careful consideration, I chose the 'gas'
version of Patio Caddie.

CharBroil's Patio-Caddie is a well-engineered, stylish, and compact grill at a reasonable price....

A friend of mine who is certified chef bought the gas version of the caddie 5 years ago, he recommended it to me when I was looking for a new grill. So I went online and bought one. I live in SF with little outdoor space, so the size is a definite plus. ...

Great grill for a small space

by dmentia777 , Oct 03 '05
Pros: Great size for a small balcony or patio, great grilling power, easy assembly, inexpensive
Cons: Hassle to get propane tank filled, tricky hot spots
I purchased this grill for the balcony I have at my apartment. It's too small to fit a standard grill and I'm not comfortable leaving charcoal on the balcony overnight. After searching for it high and low in retail stores, I finally found one and ...

Pros: Lightweight and grills quickly
Cons: Cover is awkward, no hinge
Love this grill. I decided to get an electric grill after many years of gas grills, and I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of this grill. It is portable, lightweight and can easily be moved. The quality of the food is as good if not better...

Pros: small, convenient, cook very well

This little grill has made my life SO much easier, just plug it in turn it on and in minutes you are cooking. The food tastes the same as though you were using a gas or charcoal grill. In fact we think meat is most tender because, with its temperature...

LP version is great for quick grilling needs!

by phblanton , Apr 16 '04
Pros: Small footprint, great performance, easy to take along.
Cons: Non-standard LP tank not tradeable at most stores.
I had been using a New Braunfels smoker for about three years, and I have been converting back and forth from a smoker to a grill. It worked ok, but I didn't have the control or adjustability that I wanted, plus I had to clean up all of the ashes and ...

Love it, love it, love it!
by jewfem ,Sep 06 '03
Pros: green (my favorite color), great size for small patios, easy to use
Cons: you have to clean it (who knew?????) :-)
I LOVE my new grill! I by no means am an expert griller. After throwing out my charcoal weber, I was on the hunt for a gas grill that was small enough for my almost non-existent patio, affordable and easy to use. I've found that with this grill. It's awesome! Perhaps, since I have nothing to compare it to, I am a little one-sided. However, if you are a charcoal griller and are moving to a gas grill for the first time, I think this is an excellent move for you...it was for me. The food cooks perfectly and, in my opinion, the cleaning isn't any more annoying than any other grill I've had to clean. I haven't gotten to the point where I've needed to replace parts, like some have, but with how relatively cheap this grill is, if it's too expensive to buy parts, why not just buy a new grill?
