Pros: Quick Stain Release, Cost Effective Alternative Cons: None
I am not a fan of carpeting. Preferably my world would consist of wood floors and a few throw rugs that can be tossed as soon as I get tired of them. Unfortunately, in the spirit of peaceful co-existence and compromise having some carpeting in the house ...
Pros: works well Cons: may not work on all carpets, must test first
I have a house full of pets that out do the humans here. I have a cat that thinks throwing up is a weekly habit and never mind the hairballs as well. I have a dog that believes in going to the bathroom on his own time, whether it be in the middle of the ...
Pros: Cleans everything stain I've tried, even old ones Cons: Requires 12 hour test for color fastness before initial use
If I have learned one thing as a parent, I know that by the time you hear Oops it is probably too late. In my house if you are out of ear shot for the oops thats OK, because it is usually followed by my 2 ˝ year old daughter ...
Pros: Does a spectacular job of removing stains. Easy and economical to use. Cons: Horrible odor.
Kittens: cute, furry, playful, lovable little critters, right? They melt your heart, and before you know it youre taking them into your home where you lovingly care for them, feed them, and provide everything they could possibly need or want. All ...
Pros: Easy, fast, amazing. Really does the trick on set-in pet stains and tracked-in grease. Cons: None encountered so far.
I have a room size rug in the bedroom. It's peach colored and looked great when I first put it down. I've also always had cats, including a wonderful old girl who, as she aged, began to develop health problems, most of which showed up on the bedroom ...
Pros: Easy to use, saved my brand new carpet and my sanity. Cons: Don't over spray or you could end up ruining your carpet backing.
I have to tell you a story, and then you will see why I LOVE this product BUT you have to be careful with it. About three years ago we replaced our 20+ year old carpet with brand new, "stain resistant", beige carpet. We had three small children, the ...
Pros: Easy to use, removes virtually every stain. Cons: strong odor, and can discolor carpet so must test first.
I love this stuff, I have multiple pets, cats and dogs, so we tend to have messes to clean up often. Additionally, I'm a klutz, and can't tell you how many times I've spilled coffee on our light carpeting. We do a lot of activities with our dogs, going ...
Pros: Best carpet stain remover I have tried on the market Cons: Be sure to follow the directions, or it could affect the colourfastness of your carpet
A friend who swears by Spot Shot for any carpet stains, including red wine, recommended I try spot shot to use on some clay mud stains, drink spills, and other assorted stains that come with pets and kids before we listed our house for sale. I must ...
Pros: works well at removing pet stains, no vacuuming required Cons: doesn't always remove all of the stain, make sure you test for colorfastness
We have 7 cats (don't ask why, and no we won't get rid of any of them) and the new house we moved into a few months ago has very light, off-white berber carpet. With all these cats I spend a considerable amount of time cleaning up hairballs, and one cat ...
Pros: easy to use, no long waits, doesn't leave floors over saturated. Cons: Doesnt do much for old stains like kool aid, but then again..does anything?
Spot Shot was my last hope before renting the shampooer from the grocery store. I was very doubtful that this cleaner would work, like the many I have tried before.
I have, on average, 6 kids running through my house daily and 1 dog who is so lazy that she would rather go on the floor rather than outside. I though I would try Spot Shot on the dogs favorite "wet spot" and it did get up most of the smell. I also tried it on some old dirt stains in front of the door and it did make a difference.
I wouldnt swear by this cleaner, but it is better than most.
Pros: works better than you think Cons: need bigger spray cans
I cant tell you how much this stuff has saved me in rent deposits, it actually bare none the most amazing carpet cleaner. It does what it says, and thats saying a lot.
New Puppy with loose stool by jan41157 ,Apr 23 '05
Pros: Will buy this for Dog stains for the rest of my life. Cons: have not found one
I have had my puppy for two weeks and have had a lot to clean up off my carpet. I did not find the poop until it had stained the carpet. We have Berber and the stains were out within seconds and so was the smell.
Pros: Gets out old, set-in stains. Cons: None so far.
I read a couple of reviews about this a few days ago and decided to try it. I live in kind of a cheap, old apartment in a college town, and there are some stains on my carpet that have been there since before I moved in two years ago.
Anyway, I bought a can of Spot Shot, did the colorfastness test yesterday, and started cleaning out my carpet stains today. This stuff is amazing-- it works in practically no time at all. It even got out a blob of melted rubber (from the backing of my car's soundproofing) that I though I would have to cut out of my carpet.
Pros: Price, Works instantly, Just pat to remove stain instead of scrubbing. Cons: Aerosol can spray doesn't have a great smell, but it isn't horrible either.
This is absolutely the best carpet stain remover I have EVER used. I had a bad coffee color stain in my car back seat that was there for about 2 years. I sprayed spot shot and it instantly started coming off..I just patted it with a rag and bam! the stain is gone. I have noticed that the can works better then the blue bottle you may see sometimes. It doesn't have the fresh scent, but it works better and the smell goes away quickly. DEF DEF DEF give this a try! It's not expensive and WD-40 makes it, how much better can it get?!
Removed very old RED stains!! by jlamb ,Oct 25 '04
Pros: worked on old RED stains Cons: chemical smell
Being a cat lover and owner, we all know the joy of cleaning up after them...my cats insist on 'kit n kaboodle' cat food, which is mostly little RED pieces of cat food....well, let me tell you, when that RED stuff comes up and lands on your IVORY carpet it leaves a nice stain...I have tried everything out there on these stains...oxy stuff, resolve, and atleast a dozen others, all promising to remove even the toughest stains...only to be disappointed and ultimately giving up....so then I heard about this spot shot...about the only thing on the market I didnt try....I followed the directions, and it did take 3 shots, a little waiting and little rubbing, but it got 99% of the stain out! I was amazed....I would highly recommend this product for pet owners and everyone else...The only problem I found with this product, it did lighten the carpet where I sprayed, but that could be because the rest of the carpeting needing cleaning too and being an ivory carpet, it's barley noticeable...also it does have a chemical smell, but I can deal with that.
