Paid extra for overnight shipping, but it took three days to arrive. After high pressure up-sell phone calls from them, late arrival of my items, poor packaging, and a return policy that requires you to call them (so they can try to talk you out of it) for a "return authorization number" and suffer a 10% restocking fee--no way, won't do business with them again.

I tried to order just a camera from Butterfly via phone. The rep tried to sell me on several accessories which is good salesmanship. I politely declined and I could tell he was irritated. He put me on hold for what seemed like 10 minutes and never came back. I finally hung up and called Digital Foto. They took my order and the camera arrived in 3 days.

When we decided to purchase a Nikon 5700 I surfed a couple of dozen sights. Butterfly Photo had the best price for the camera, but just as important it had the best price for the upgrade to the 512 MB flash card we wanted. The call back turned out to be a good thing as we found out Nikon had a special for a high speed 512 MB. Would definitely recommend this sight.

I would NEVER order anything from Butterfly Photo. They do not keep their delivery promises and then when you try and call customer service they are arrogant and rude. VERY bad experience.

I did my homework and researched all the on-line merchants for prices and consumer reviews. I was surprised at all the bad reviews by consumers of not only this merchant, but all the others. I took my chances and purchased a new Sony camcorder. The price was below retail, and the item was available. I received it in a very timely manner, in fact faster than the service I paid for. I did purchase some overpriced accessories, but that was my choice. I would recommend this merchant.

I recently purchased an Olympus C-750 digital camera from Butterfly. They were very knowledgeable on the phone and processed my order quickly and efficiently. I received my camera promptly. I took it on a trip to China and it performed flawlessly. I recommend using Butterfly and I really like the camera.

After doing my research, I ordered a Pentex Optio 555 and accessories from Butterfly Photo. The camera price was extremely competitive, and the camera was delivered when promised. They were courteous and professional. I recommend them and will buy here again.

After doing the rounds of the NY scam artists and trying to purchase a Sony DCS F828 and becoming very frustrated I found these guys. Sure, the sales guy went through the upsell speel, and was courteous after I thanked him and said no thanks.

Item was shipped prompt and tracking number supplied without asking.

DO NOT BUY FROM the likes of Royal Camera, CCI, 5Star Electronics and their other shell companies listed on shoppingcart.com, they are thieves and lairs who DO NOT sell products with US Warranties, it is all GRAY MARKET product.

I got tired of getting hassled by the bait and switch tactics of the usual rock bottom priced camera online stores and decided to the lowest priced one that had good consumer ratings. Butterfly Photo was a relief. They sold me the camera I wanted with no hassle, fast delivery, and no hard sell on overpriced add-ons. I will use them again. Sam was my sales guy.

Initially received no feedback from online order. A phone call hooked me up with a very helpful person (Sam) who expedited my order and upgraded my shipping. It was a very satisfactory experience. I would recommend them highly. All of the other vendors in their price range had VERY dubious ratings. These guys do it right.

I've just ordered the Canon EOS Digital Rebel camera for $808 from Butterfly Photo. Justin, at extension 214, was extremely courteous and professional in his follow-up call. He explained when the item would be shipped and when I could expect to receive it. He was also very well informed as to the operation of the camera, and while he did his job as a good salesperson to remind me of accessories I might need, he was not at ALL pushy - I would definitely request Justin should I order these accessories in the future. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.

I needed a new camcorder for an event 2 weeks away. I did my research and chose the model I wanted. ButterflyPhoto.com had the model I wanted for much cheaper than any local store(even at the sale price). I was extremely nervous about ordering such a high-ticket item online, but I did it. I ordered Monday night, I called to check status on Tuesday afternoon, I received my new camcorder on Thursday afternoon. They did sell me some accessories when I called on Tuesday. Even with the additional money spent on accessories, I still paid less than I would have locally (with tax). AND I have an extra battery, an AC/DC charger, and a UV filter. They upgraded my FedEx shipping to 2-day as well. I usually hate situations where I am pressured to buy more than I have intended to, but this was a pretty laid-back experience and I'm completely satisfied.

Very poor customer service. They contacted me after my item should have shipped to tell me there was a delay (of unspecified length). I asked about the time line, and they told me the shipping would be delayed by 6-7 business days. I asked that they overnight the item at their expense, as I had ordered it expecting a much more timely delivery. No response. When I followed up, they told me they had cancelled my order. I don't know if they were ever going to notify me.

First time buyer of a Canon powershot sd300. Bought it for about $316.00 and got the courtesy call verifying my order, it delayed my order about a day because they WILL NOT ship your order out unless you give them a call back (quite so much hassle). I also didn't like the fact that they lowered the price (it's currently 298.00) and I just bought the camera not even a week ago. I decided to go with Butterflyphoto because the other sites didn't have the 128-bit ssl security when checking out. Overall just a few minor hassles, but otherwise okay. Friendly and fast service - 2 day shipping was on the dot.
