Terrible!!! Do not buy from this company. File a complaint!

This company is a scam. Do not buy from them and file complaints with the NY BBB and the New York Attorney General if you've ordered.
Also, if you search on epinions for magsforless they come up as a paid advertisement. This is appalling and a slap in the face to all the people who post here saying how bad magsforless is. Epinions should not be taking money from magsforless until they can prove they are a trustworthy company.

NIGHTMARE ON MAGAZINE STREET

I place an order for People on 5/19/06 and never recieved an issue or a reason why. After repaeted emails that generate a canned email responce:
Dear Pamela,
I'm terribly sorry - I found the order in our system and there was an error in submission of this order to the publisher. I corrected the problem and contacted the publisher to expedite processing of your order.
Once again I apologize for the inconvenience and would like to reassure you that you will receive your magazine within the next 4-12 weeks.

Magsforless is a huge scam!

I ordered magazines through magsforless because i thought it was a great deal. But as it turns out, it really wasn't because I never received my magazines. I ordered them in August, and it is now January. They were all supposed to be here no later than November, but as you can see. . . they're a bit late. So I do not advise anyone to order from them.

TOTAL RIPOFF - Shady company, AVOID

They absolutely stink (I'd use stronger language but not sure if that is allowable.)
I ordered People mag for $94.99 from them on 7/19/06 and on 7/21/06, they charged my credit card. My, aren't they efficient in their billing. I was told on the site that my magazine would start to be delivered in approx 8 weeks.
At 10 weeks, I contacted them via their website (TWICE) and after the second note, got the response that mags could take up to 20 weeks to be delivered. I responded that this was an UNACCEPTABLE timeframe and NOT what was promised to me, especially considering my credit card had been billed almost immediately.
It has now been 14 weeks and I have heard nothing further, so I'm contesting this with my credit card company. Hope I can get my money back.
It's so interesting that reviews on here seem to be on polar opposite ends - either they state that MagsforLess is a ripoff or they are rave reviews... Wanna make a guess that the "raves" are planted reviews?

I ordered a two year renewal of my New Yorker subscription. My AMEX account was charged on 9/26/06. Today is 1/28/07. I haven't received New Yorker since my legit subscription expired in October. Emails to the MagsForLess customer service department have been unanswered. AMEX "forced" a dispute today after much negotiation because the transaction is over 60 days old, but will not issue a chargeback. The AMEX Merchant Services department will not accept a complaint about the company and told me I had a year to file a dispute with AMEX customer Service. There's another issue for you.

The magazines were great. Also the service was good and fast. According to cost, the service and magazine are really cheap. I recommend this site.I was able to find great prices for the magazines I wanted (the site is so easy to use!) and the first one arrived yesterday!

I am very pleased with my experience at MagsForLess. I had been warned about ordering magazines online, but this website was wonderful. The website was easy to navigate, and the first issue of the magazine I ordered as a surprise for my fiancee arrived promptly. When I had a question about the credit card I used, the customer service representative was delightful. I really am very pleased.

Do yourself a favor and don't order from magsforless. Of my 6 magazine order 3 subscriptions went through initially. After about 12 contacts with customer service, I am up to 5 magazines. On at least 3 occasions a customer service rep promised to email me in a specific time frame and never did so.

I ordered a magazine subscription months ago and have not received it or a refund after numerous emails to this company. I do not believe they are going to complete this order. I have sent a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission. If the FTC receives a lot of complaints they may take action. Their complaint form can be found by using google and Federal Trade Commission.
I had not received a magazine or a refund by May 2007 after making a magazine order in late 2006 so I sent a complaint to the internet crime complaint center www.ic3.gov and in a few weeks I received a refund.

In the past I have had good service and reliable delivery of magazines. Upon renewal this year, my credit card was billed 4 times for the same order. Customer support has not replied to numerous emails and does not provide a telephone number on their website. My credit card company provided me with a contact number, which was a private cell phone number of a totally innocent woman who had obviously been flooded by calls from angry customers of mags for less. She provided me with another number of a larger billing company who handles magsforless' affairs. They have tried to contact the company and have failed to get any response, which is highly suspicious! How can they process orders without having any contact? This company is stealing money from people. Please be cautious. Sometimes things that are too good to be true are exactly that.

Scam, SCAM, SCAM! Avoid this website at all costs. I paid with paypal and it was over 45 days so I get nothing back.
If you use paypal, always use your credit card to pay, not your bank account. That way you are backed up in 2 ways.
It was only 21.00, but it opens your eyes to watch out for scams better.
Avoid this website at all costs!

I had a horrible experience with MagsForLess -- there are actually too many details to mention, but among other things, they lied to me about delays on the publisher's end -- I called the publishers and they had never even received the order after 4 months. They were also terrible about responding to my complaints.
Because their order amounts are typically small, they will be able to keep getting away with this, unless the authorities receive a large number of complaints. For everyone who has had a similar experience, you can report it at both:
www.bbb.org and www.ic3.gov
also, their phone number is VERY hard to find, but here it is: (888) 259-8401 (not that they are any better at returning phone messages than e-mail...)
It doesn't take long to report, and you could be preventing a lot of people from being ripped off in the future!

A MUST AVOID AT ANY PRICE!!!!

This is a MUST AVOID at any cost!!! I placed an order in August of '06 and have not received the subscription. I have contacted them numerous times and have not received one response.
They do not provide a phone number for customer service, just an e-mail address and you're not even sure if they ever get the e-mails.
Will NEVER do business with them again, and even PayPal automatically escalates a dispute to a claim.
You're better off paying the full price of a subscription than go through this headache!
