Bought a SquareTrade "warranty" for a MacBook I bought for my daughter last Christmas.  Hard drive failed shortly into the warranty period.  Filed claim but received no response whatsoever for several days (not even an acknowledgement).  Daughter needed laptop for school work, so i bought a new hard drive and installed it myself.  Service & communication unacceptable (i.e. nonexistent).  Cancelled contract.  Was refunded ~75% of purchase price despite their never having paid anything in connection with their "warranty."  Buyer beware.

I would like to say this is one Company That lived up to it's Name. Square Trade Inc is one outstanding Company. From the time talking to Customer service till I got my refund. With in one week, What can you say keep up the Outstanding Job. Thanks Rich

My unlocked cell phone stopped working after only a few months. They told me to contact my provider to see if there was anything they could do about it. Their suggestions didn't work, so I contacted Square Trade again. They told me to send them the phone. After they received it, they refunded the cost (minus the shipping) in just a few days. It was very quick and easy, and I am very happy about it. Thank you!

My experience with SquareTrade has been a delightful one. SquareTade's customer service is an added value on top of their excellent warranty plans. SquareTrade appreciates their customers and it shows in their quick response to your claims and SquareTrade is there to help you every step of the way. I have recommended SquareTrade to my family and friends because of the high level of courteous, no-nonsense customer service, which is hard to find these days.

I couldn't be happier with the prompt response to my claim. This was well worth the $40! I saved hundreds thanks to Square Trade!

Warranty claim on Motorola RAZR handled quickly and professionally.  I mailed in my RAZR with a dead LCD, and my PayPal account was credited immediately!    I have already bought warranties through Square Trade for 3 other devices.   Warranty prices are much less than the policies sold through stores.  

SquareTrade was true to their word. They refunded my money entirely when the unit i purchased was unfixable. I received payment in an extremely timely manner. I would do business with them again without a second thought.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! I bought a used Nintendo DS for my son on ebay about nine months ago. After eight months of use, one of the buttons stop working right. I had opted to pay an extra $10 for a Square Trade warranty. I called them up and the man I talked to was so unbelievably nice. He looked up my warranty and informed me that they would email me a shipping label right away and as soon as they received the DS they would put the money back in my Paypal account! And they did! It was so FAST I couldn't believe it. They actually gave me back every dime I paid for it. Without any problems at all! They also told me that you can buy Square Trade for any electronic or appliance purchase no matter where you buy it. I am sold on Square Trade. When you have three boys like I do, thing just get broken.

The warranty was cheaper than any store warranty.When my kids Zune developed a problem a filled out a claim they emailed my a return label and a about 7 days after I mailed it to them I had my full purchase price refunded back to me. Will definitely buy another Square Trade warranty for our new Zune we just purchased Great Service.

My phone stopped working a few months after I bought it. SquareTrade handled my claim quicker than I could have hoped. They were very fair, and they won me as a customer for life.

I bought a SquareTrade warranty for a phone I bought on e-bay. A few months later, the phone completely died. I had some trouble filing the claim online (it told me the phone was under a manufacturer's warranty, when it wasn't), so I called them. The person I spoke to was very courteous and helpful. I answered a few questions about the problems I had had with the phone and he said my claim was valid, so he e-mailed me a UPS label to send in my phone. I sent in my phone and a few days later, my claim was approved and the entire purchase price was refunded to my paypal account, which I easily transferred to my bank account. It couldn't have been easier! I would definitely recommend this over warranties from places like Best Buy; it's less expensive and much much easier.

I started purchasing SquareTrade warranties for my purchased products about 2 years ago.  You never know if there will be a problem with a new or used item purchase. Recently, I had a problem arise with a printer.  I created a claim and they reviewed the claim and found that the problem could not be fixed from their end.  I was sad, but I understood.  They refunded me the amount I paid for the item purchase under the squaretrade agreement.  It was quick, painless, and overall a refreshing experience working with a warranty company who actually looks at the problem and works with you to resolve it. In just a few short days, I had a full refund for the purchase price of my printer.  The cost of the warranties through SquareTrade are very reasonable and their prompt customer service is beyond compare.  I will continue to purchase my warranties through SquareTrade because I know they really want to make their customers happy.

I must admit that I was as leery about purchasing a warranty online as I am from a retail operation. I envisioned a long, tedious, multi-layered process that would just, ultimately, end in frustration. My experience with SquareTrade has been as far to the opposite end of the the frustration scale as you can be. I received my return info quickly, sent in my daughter's phone(which was bearing the wear and tear only a teenager can inflict), my claim was processed quickly and the resolution was prompt. Anyone considering a warranty purchase here should NOT hesitate; you will not regret your decision. You will wonder why huge retail operations, who bombard you with restrictions, endless steps in the claims process and periods "on hold" with Customer "dis"service, can't do it the customer-friendly way that SquareTrade does it.

There are no words to describe such a pleasant experience. Right from the first phone call, to the refund, there was no hassles what so ever. All things should go this smooth. All conversations were courteous and intelligent. And if a assistant did not know an answer they immediately found someone who did. And talk about getting a reply back by e-mail,like lightning. I have never dealt with anyone like this. Would definetly purchase a warranty from Square Trade again.
