WAWA Digital

This is a very good merchant. In a Sunday's night of this month, I ordered a digital camera in its website, I got exactly what I ordered after three days. Not only shipping but also service are very good. This is a very pleasant experience to buy something through internet. before I did the order, I compared prices with several merchants to purchase a same camera, wawadigital's price is lower, and the camera is completely brand new .

Upon my encounters with Wawa Digital, I was greeted with rudeness and disbelief. They lie on their pages, offering you a low price only to tell you on the phone that the product you wish to buy is refurbished, and a new product is 100 dollars extra. Also, though the page says it comes with certain items, they tell you on the phone that you do not in fact get these items, and it costs extra. Then when you cancel your order they explicitly tell you to never to business with them again and rudely say, "Bye Loser". They are unprofessional, and not a business to deal with. Please don't trust them.

I'm waiting to see if they illegally charge my credit card. Furthermore, after looking through their Policies and Services, I've noticed they conveniently misspell important words like "unauthorizeduse", "ofunauthorized", or "personalinformation". I've sent in a report to the Internet Crime Reporting service, but I doubt they'll do much soon, and I feel other naiive consumers such as myself may fall into a trap. ALWAYS check the reviews on a company before purchasing from them.

Customer service isn't the issue. These guys are fraudulent. Charges recently appeared on the credit card we used that are not ours. Bank confirmed that questionable charges had been attempted and denied. Stay far away.

It sounds like the same thing happened to me as happened to everyone else. I called to confirm my order. The man asked if I would like to buy extra memory for my digital camera. I said no. Then he said "that camera is out of stock I'm cancelling your order" then he hung up on me.

They managed to not only fail to deliver my order next-day as I had specified but failed to deliver it at all. Surprisingly after completing my order, 5 minutes later, I received a call from a "salesman" urging me to order batteries, cases, etc. (refusing not to accept "no" for an answer). Needless to say, I followed up 2 days later and had the pleasure to talk with a representative who sounded like he had just graduated from grade-school. The immature representative showed zero respect and was constantly badgering me to talk louder even though i was screaming into the phone. After enduring 10 minutes talking with this guy, I found that the camera I had ordered(canon elura 65) was out of stock. GREAT! THANKS A TON WAWA DIGITAL... ITS COMPANIES LIKE YOU WHO MAKE THE INDUSTRY LOOK BAD.

I bought a camera, they wouldent ship it unless i bought $200.00 in extra items. Then they said it was a used camera with no warenty their site said new. So I called them and they told me to F__ck off and get a life!

Great Store. Their plasma price droped $30 by the time I received my order. A call to customer svc immediately credited me the $30 without a fuss.

WAWA Digital is the kind of online store that gets people frustrated with cyber shopping. The website: great. The prices: great. The online ordering: great. Everything was smooth and seamless until we had to call to confirm our order. Nothing wrong with calling, we thought. Our two cameras (a Nikon Coolpix L1 and Konica Minolta X1) were $199 and $215(after a $50 mail in rebate) which is amazingly cheap. I had been wondering how they could afford to sell the Nikon $120 less than a local camera store. The confirmation call answered the question. On the phone, WAWA said the cameras didn't come with a large memory card so we could buy a 256mb($89) or 164mb($40). I quickly searched for 256mb prices and found Best Buy's price to be $44. So returning the call and telling WAWA I just wanted the cameras, they told me they were out of stock. That is a lie. The webpage of the X1 and L1 shows both in stock. If they lie before the order is even confirmed, what could happen after confirmation? I do not know; I canceled the order.

I wish I'd read the opinions contained herein before I ordered from WAWA Digital. Same rude clerk described by the other opinions posted on this site(who said he was the owner) and who immediately canceled my order when I told him I didn't want any other additional equipment. He also told me - no one can catch him, because he can "change his name next week." Obviously a scam. The New York State Attorney General's Office and New York City District Attorney should investigate immediately.

Bad news...Stay away. Bait and switch attempted.

I put in an order online and got a phone call within five mins trying to upsell me with accessories. And then..."oh, the one that you ordered is refurbished. For an additional $35, I can get you a new one..."

I canceled immediately. Since they got my credit card from the online order, I'll watch closely to see if they try to charge against it.

they are apparently out of business, now. after ordering a digital camera, like many others, i was contacted by them, and talked into buying an extra battery and a 5 yr warranty. they were terribly rude, and very inpatient with me. i have had the camera for a couple of months, and decided to go ahead and charge the new 5 hr battery. it is not the correct battery for the nikon p1 i purchased. i tried to find information to contact them, and realized they do not exist anymore. i also am now concerned that i purchased a 5 yr warranty, and i am sure it is not worth anything, and not even valid. what a scam! buyers beware, if it sounds too good to be true, it most like is too good to be true! if anyone has info on contacting this company, or owners, please advise...

Just got off the phone with WaWaDigital(1-866-722-7209). They called to confirm an order I had place yesterday. The salesman tried to sell me an expensive second battery to go with my original camera order. When I told him I was not interested for the third time, he says " F--K YOU FA--OT, I'M CANCELING YOUR ORDER, DON'T EVER ORDER FROM US AGAIN!" and hangs the phone up on me.

Be VERY careful when ordering from this company. I am in the process of contacting the New York Attorney Generals office to file a complaint. I only wish I had found this web page before I place my order.

I received a call the day after I submitted my order on-line. The call started very well. The gentleman on the phone was cordial and excited about my order. He immediately told me the battery life of the battery that came with the camcorder was horrible and that he could sell me two other options. I paused, he countered. He offered a battery and bag for $100. When I told him I wasn't interested, he said the camcorder wasn't in stock, wouldn't be for three weeks, and told me they were canceling my order. Then, he hung up. It was a bizarre experience...one not worth repeating!

Our experience with this company was HORRIBLE. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend doing business with them. They do not keep their word and they even hung up on us when called about the status of the order since it was way past the date it was supposed to be delivered.

Do not to business with them--you will regret it.

Just another New York Scam online store. Called to order a camera and salesman tried to sell other accessories but I didn't bite. After that he wanted an additional 40 bucks for an "english" version. This must mean they are advertising grey market stuff that has no warantee.
